Fintech data cannot casually live in a third-party vendor's infrastructure, and most data platforms ask you to. OptimaFlo deploys with BYOC (Bring Your Own Cloud): your transaction, account, and ledger data stay inside your own AWS or GCP account, and an AI data team builds the pipelines and quality checks on top of it.

BYOC: your cloud, your boundary

Terraform provisions the stack, storage, compute, and data catalog directly inside your own AWS or GCP project. Your data does not sit in a shared OptimaFlo environment. OptimaFlo authenticates using short-lived, scoped credentials, AWS STS AssumeRole or GCP Workload Identity Federation, never long-lived keys stored or exchanged. You keep the IAM boundary, and your cloud bill goes straight to AWS or GCP, not through OptimaFlo. Read the full breakdown on the BYOC page.

Quality checks, not just ingestion

The Ingestion Engineer connects your sources and the Data Engineer builds the pipeline, but for fintech data the Quality Engineer is doing the load-bearing work: every generated check gets a confidence score, and that score decides whether it auto-approves or routes to a person first. The Analytics Engineer checks column references and types before anything runs. Underneath all of it, access runs on Apache Polaris's native RBAC (owner, admin, member, analyst, viewer per workspace).

OptimaFlo is not currently SOC 2 or HIPAA certified. If that is a hard requirement, talk to us directly before committing.

Frequently asked questions

Storage, pipeline compute, and the data catalog all run inside your own account. Table previews and dashboard queries go browser-direct to your VPC through the query gateway, bypassing OptimaFlo's servers entirely. When you ask the AI data team a question in chat, the query results needed to answer it pass through OptimaFlo's service in memory to generate the response, and are not stored there. If that transit matters for your compliance review, raise it with us directly.

No, not currently. OptimaFlo runs access control on Apache Polaris RBAC at the catalog, namespace, table, and view level, the kind of control layer those audits check for. If a certification is a hard requirement for your team, confirm that with us directly before you commit.

The Quality Engineer generates checks from schema analysis, pattern detection, and inferred business rules, each with a confidence score. High-confidence checks can auto-approve; anything less certain routes to a person to review before it goes live, rather than trusting every generated check equally.

Access runs on catalog-level RBAC with five roles per workspace: owner, admin, member, analyst, and viewer.
